"THE FEAST"
I remember so clearly the day when I wanted to do something extra-ordinary so I decided to go to “THE FEAST.” As I began to think of the cuisine that may be served I smiled as my heart began to comprehend all that I was about to experience. Like a child at an ice cream shop my taste buds were eagerly waiting to taste all that my eyes could see. I couldn’t help but feel the ambiance in this place, with all that was going on, it was still so surreal and as I sat and watched everyone else’s respond to what was set for us. I became so filled with the LOVE AND JOY that was permeating the atmosphere. I can’t even begin to explain what was running through my mind and with each beat of my heart was another beat closer to God and for God, each beat was a Gift. I was overwhelmed by the King’s Table of REDEMPTION and all that it held for me to partake of. Some of the guest were nervous as it was their first time being invited to the “KING’S FEAST.”
O’ TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD; HOW BLESSED (HAPPY) IS THE MAN WHO TAKES REFUGE IN HIM! Psalm 38:4
Oh, by the way did I mention that God is our Chef and Jesus is our Host for this evening? So, I urge you to take your seat, sit back, relax and enjoy the KING’S FEAST which He has prepared especially for His Kingdom Children. As, I sat at the TABLE of REGENERATION, I marveled at the PURE WHITE fine LINENS of REDEMPTION chosen by CHRIST to lie upon the table. Then, my eyes were fixed on the PLACE SETTINGS of RIGHTEOUSNESS which were so ornate and detailed and LEAFED in the gold. I looked to my right and I saw that t the GOBLET of ATONEMENT was filled to the brim, with the finest Word ever created. As gazed upon the Gold and Platinum utensils, I couldn’t help but reach for the FORK of SANCTIFICATION and something began to move within me. I picked up the KNIFE OF JUSTIFICATION and the SOUP SPOON of RECONCILIATION and immediately became overwhelmed with the HOLY SPIRIT I couldn’t help but to cry out THANK YOU, LORD! Man’s etiquette was out the door. So those that were trying to figure out with utensil to use first it didn’t matter because God had already set everything in order His way, so that each piece would be used for what He had intended it for and we were free to sup and dine with Him. It was time for the meal to begin and Jesus being the Host prayed over the feast and upon us all saying AMEN, I was reminded in my heart that He was not just My Savior, He too is My Prophet, My Priest and My King. Wow, how amazingly blessed I am. As the food was passed, I was overwhelmed at the amount of FAITH on the PLATTER and I knew I couldn’t live without that. Then, a LARGE BOWL of PEACE came and I dipped my SOUP SPOON of RECONCILIATION into it. I was like Lord, is there anything that You have not prepared for us?
He gentle said, “Partake my precious daughter for all of this is yours to have and have as much as you like.” I said, “Lord, I thank You.”
Then, I reached for some HUMILITY too. My PLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS was starting to run over and looking rather good. As I began to chew and nibble on the GLORY OF GOD, my belly began to expand and my heart became enriched even more with the things of God.
O’ TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD!
Even though I was feeling quite full, I couldn’t help but ask for another portion of HOPE. Then, I decided to ask for more PATIENCE as well. Then they brought out the dessert and what a beautiful sight “SWEET PEACE” to top it all off. I knew I was full but I wanted my just dessert “SWEET PEACE” the perfect ending to a wonderful FEAST. Then my friend reminded me not to forget my portions of GRACE and MERCY. I fell back toward my chair and said, “HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN THOSE?” As I finished my meal and my PLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS was clean. I wiped my mouth clean with the napkin of HOLINESS and realized I will never be the same again.
O’ TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD!
Upon my leaving the room Jesus reminded me that everything had been “PAID IN FULL BY HIM” and not to forget to take the MINT OF LOVE and use it……
This meal was so TRANSFORMING, RESTORING, REFRESHING and RENEWING. How could I partake of this FEAST that God, Himself created for me and remain the same?
Simply put, “I AM NOT!”
